Chronos Energy is looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support the delivery of high-quality decarbonisation and sustainable retrofit projects. This is an exciting opportunity to lead electrical design across low-carbon systems and sustainable building upgrades, with a competitive salary and benefits package on offer.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead electrical design for LV systems, solar PV, battery storage, LED lighting, and smart controls

• Deliver designs across RIBA Stages 2–5, including calculations, SLDs, schematics, and technical reports

• Coordinate multidisciplinary designs across electrical, mechanical, and energy systems

• Manage DNO applications, design risk, QA, and compliance sign-off

• Lead client and contractor technical discussions

• Mentor junior engineers and support team development

• Support bids, scopes of work, and fee proposals

Skills and Experience:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering

• CEng status or working towards

• Strong experience in sustainable retrofit and low-carbon technologies

• Proven expertise in solar PV, power systems, battery storage, and energy optimisation

• Strong knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, CIBSE, PAS 2035, and UK Building Regulations

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM workflows, Revit desirable
